It is an interesting story - one that we won't soon forget... I wasn't sure if I was in labour and might have left it a bit too long to head to the hospital... We went to the Invermere hospital at 7ish and got the go ahead to head down to the Cranbrook hospital to deliver this baby. I ended up in the back of the Rav4 on my hands and knees labouring while Wade cruised down to Cranbrook. Our luck we hit an Elk ... yeah, we didn't get a speeding ticket but rather, hit a flippin Elk! Anyway the Rav4 still was able to get us there - thank goodness! We arrived at 11 and had Zack at 1:05am (he missed his due date by an hour!) It has been a rewarding few days and we truly love the newest member in our family.

Just before heading to the hospital

Zack is born!

Our first family photo

All his information

One of the first pictures the next morning - we didn't know what to think of that scowl!

Proud papa

a few hours later with a little less scowl...

Zack's first visitor - while wade went to get the car checked for damage she was able to sneak in a few hours before visiting hours...

then the flowers start to arrive - these were from Dustin and Jodie - how freaking cute is that?

Then from "mom and dad" we figured it had to be mom and dad mose as the kendrew grandparents were driving... we were right! these came with the most adorable little binkie toy! Thank you!

These from Sheldon and Miriam when they arrived during visiting hours

and this gorgeous one from Keith (and family I'm sure) I will have to get a better picture of it...

with the flowers came the visitors - Dustin Jodie and Ryder

Uncle Keith

Uncle Sheldon

Auntie Miriam

Cousin Reece

and Reagan

Finally Grandpa and Grandma arrived!

love his big yawn!

Our little man

The next day as Wade was taking stuff out to the car he bumped into Auntie Martha - So both Syd and Martha saw Zack before we left the hospital - so nice!

that blasted car seat made the scowl come back!

Finally home - now we know where Karlee gets her "baby hog" title from! Dad is almost worse than her!

he couldn't even put him down to eat pie!

sweetie pie

We love him!
